Abstract

536,911. Conduits. WALSALL CONDUITS, Ltd., MILLARD, A. E., and WHALLEY, W. Jan. 15, 1940, No. 831. [Class 36] A trough-like conduit 5 has a cover 10 apertured to engage, by springing, pins 8 on one side of the conduit and further apertured to fit over pins 7 on a flange 6 to which nuts 9 are applied. Where the conduit is horizontally arranged on a vertical surface, the flange 6 is extended and arranged on the side nearest the ground so as to prevent the cable from falling out. Various modifications in detail are referred to, involving different arrangements of the pins and holes. The pins may be replaced by tongues or pips projecting inwards from the cover into holes or recesses in the trunking. The invention is also applicable to T- and angleboxes. Where division pieces are fitted across the trunking they are located intermediately of the pin-sites. A keyhole slot fastening is also described, and the Provisional Specification also describes other forms.
