535,827. Lamp-holders. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd., WELLINGS, J. G., and ADAMS, W. S. Oct. 20, 1939, No. 28309. [Class 38 (i)] The contacts 9 of a holder for a tubular lamp are mounted in a part 6 that screws into the body 3 and is in sliding engagement with a flange on the screening plate 7 that can rotate within the body, without longitudinal motion. A slot 11 across the face of the plate 7 receives a fillet 13 on the lamp cap 12 so that by rotating the lamp after insertion the plate 7 is rotated and turns the part 6 which is thus screwed along the thread within the body 3 until the contacts 9 protrude through the plate and engage sunk studs 14 in the cap 12.
