Abstract

535,826. Harness for airmen &c. TERRY & SONS, Ltd., H. and TERRY, C. D. Oct. 20, 1939, Nos. 28299 and 29264. [Class 141] Harness for personal wear, particularly that used in connection with parachute equipment, has a laminated spring of V formation to stiffen part of the harness to admit of ready fitting of the equipment on the person. The fabric straps 5 are stiffened by their laminated springs 6 connected by a yoke. Preferably, the construction is combined with a "Sutton" harness equipment, the yoke being bolted to a plate 9 slotted to engage headed bolts 11 connecting the harness to the seat back or frame 12. A resilient or flexible strap 13 connects the harness with the frame.
