Abstract

535,228. Studs, buttons, sleeve links &c. HENLEY, C. F. Oct. 19, 1939, No. 28264. [Class 43] A detachable button collar-stud, cuff link &c. comprises a top portion 1 formed of a domed part 3 and a plate-like part 4 peripherally connected together, and a bottom portion 2 formed of a base 9 and shank 10 provided with a cross piece 11. This cross piece is adapted to be engaged in a slot 6 in the plate 4, displacing a curved leaftype spring 8, and then to be partially rotated until it seats in a groove 5 formed between corrugations in the plate 4. The spring 8 may be stamped from the part 3 of the top portion, or may be replaced by a spiral spring, or by a flat leaf-type spring forming part of a plate lying on the plate-like part 4.
