533,383. Ovens. HOLLIS, E. O. Sept. 25, 1939, No. 26590. [Class 126] Apparatus for performing cooking operations over a gas-ring, oil burner, or electric hot plate comprises a stepped bowl-like shell 1 fitted with a domed closure member 6, the shell having an aperture 2 at the bottom for the ingress and apertures 5 at a higher level for the egress of hot gases. Utensils such as a baking or roasting tin 14 may be placed directly on a perforated dish 9 resting on a step 3 in the wall of the shell 1 or on plate 11 formed with feet 12 resting on the dish 9. A shallow centring tray 15 may be used between the tin 14 and plate 11. Grilling operations may be effected on a grill having feet resting on the bottom of the shell or the dish. By supporting one cooking vessel on a stepped ring member inserted in the top of another cooking vessel two cooking operations may be carried out simultaneously. The closure member 6 is preferably provided with a window 8 of heatresisting glass or mica and with lifting handles 7.
