Abstract
530,923. Uniting metal to glass. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., and BREADNER, R. L. July 6, 1939, No. 19689. [Class 36] To seal a number of conductors 6 through a flat glass wall 2, they are mounted so that the ends are co-planar as in a bead 5, the wall is softened by heat and the set of conductors is pressed through the wall. Preferably each has a glass bead 7 on it and the pressure may be applied by a spring having a stop released on the wall attaining the correct temperature.
