As shown, the articles A are fed, three rows abreast, on to a platform 1 which moves in a circular path to bring the first two rows of articles to position A<SP>1</SP>. A plunger 2 moves the group to position A<SP>2</SP> and repeats the operation to collate four rows of three articles at this position. A member 4, operated as described in Specification 502,182, [Group XXX], moves to position 4<SP>1</SP> to feed the group on to a platform 5, upon which a wrapper W has been placed previously. , The platform descends to the level 5<SP>1</SP>, during which descent folders (not shown) turn up the sides of the wrapper, and at the same time a folder 7 moves to position 7<SP>1</SP> to turn down the part W<SP>1</SP>, Fig. 2, of the wrapper on to the top of the group.
