Abstract

526,767. Heat insulation. MAINELLI, A. March 21, 1939, No. 8925. [A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Sept. 27, 1939] [Class 64 (ii)] Thermal insulation comprises one or more corrugated or undulating layers and one or more layers of tubes. A pipe 1 is surrounded by an inner corrugated layer 2, an intermediate layer of tubes 3, and an outer corrugated layer 4. Plain cylindrical sheets 5 are arranged between the layers and may enclose the whole packing. Paper sheets, fireproofed and waterproofed, are used, and aluminium sheets may be glued to the paper. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 described the use of tubes alone and corrugated sheets alone to form a cover with numerous air or beehive-like spaces. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
