[Class 88 (ii)] An action, particularly for a small upright pianoforte, comprises a single-armed key a, Fig. 1, with downwardly projecting pressure rod b connected by a link c to an arm d adjustably secured on the wippen f. In a modification, Fig. 2 (not shown), the arm d is outside the end of the rod b, and the link c acts by traction instead of by pressure.
