525,799. Partly electromagnetic switches with thermal action. PROCTOR & SCHWARTZ Inc. March 1, 1939, No. 6713. Convention date, March 7, 1938. [Class 38 (v)] [Also in Group XXXV] In a switching system for electric cooking ranges a switch-lever 6 carrying contacts which change series connections of heating units to parallel connections is actuated by thrust from a solenoid-core 26 and given a snap-action by a dead-centre spring 18. The return movement is effected by a thermostatic bar 21 which bends under heat and forces the spring 18 back across the dead-centre line. Specification 522,930 is referred to.
