[Class 52 (i)] A sectional storage or display cabinet comprises two or more similar units adapted to be placed one in front of the other in register forwardly to extend the shelf depth, and having interlocking means to enable the units to be anchored together. Further units may be placed or top. In Fig. 6 is shown a rear or wall unit of the cabinet embodying a shelf 17, slides 13, 20 and dovetail recess 22. A similar unit may be added above it by sliding the lower slide of the additional unit on to the slide 13. A front unit, Fig. 9, may be added to the front in order to double the depth of the shelf, by lowering a dovetail projection 24 secured to a partition 28, into the recess 22, Fig. 6. As the attachment of the front sections is effected by a vertical movement the slides at the top and bottom are omitted. The shelf 17 of the rear unit projects into the front unit to impart lateral stability to the combined units. Instead of dovetail connections 22, hook and eye or keyhole-slot connections may be used. Further units may be similarly added. The rear units may be substantially identical with the front units and may be similarly assembled instead of employing the slides 13, 20.
