[Class 37] After the conversion of the selenium of a rectifier to the metallic state the element is subjected to the action of a neutral, acid or alkaline liquid bath of an oxidizing character. Caustic soda, sodium peroxide, hydrogen peroxide and nitric acid are mentioned as examples of suitable materials for the bath.
