[Class: 125 (ii)] In a machine fbr filling bottles &c. with carbonated. beverages comprising filling heads each usually including a valve body carrying a filling nozzle and a valve movable on a valve seat of the valve body such body having two corresponding series of passages, one series leading to the filling nozzle and giving access to a filling reservoir for counter-pressure flow, and filling and venting flow, also to atmosphere for a snifting flow, the valve having a number of, passages adapted to successively connect corresponding: passages in the two series to carry out the steps of the filling process, said valve is in the form of a rotatable disc, and has a packing between itself and the valve body comprising a sealing disc of non-porous and resilient material, e.g., rubber, adjacent the valve, body and a disc of porous material, e.g., leather, adjacent the valve.
