522.287. Washing-boilers. RIGBY, T.,. and RIGBY, A. Dec. 6, 1938, No. 35478. [Class 64 (i)] Washing-boilers and washing-machines have legs formed by combining two strips a, b of sheet metal which are intererigaged by overlapping flanges to form a hollow support, and the skirt of the boiler casing c is bolted at d between the upper portions of the strips. The strips are fluted and tapered and one strip b has an aperture b<x> for passage of the pipe of a gas burner or heater and third hole for a bolt which may carry a strip f for supporting the burner. Curved indentations a<x> on strips a form open-ended sockets supporting a beaded rim c<1> on the casing c of the boiler.
