Abstract
522,244. Display stands. FODOR, F. Aug. 30, 1938, No. 7125/40. Divided out of 521,187 [Group XXXV] [Class 52 (iii)] A display stand for use in the system described in Specification 521,187 comprises interchangeable insulated members having conductors arranged on the surface and clips or clamps whereby the interchangeable members may be assembled and, at the same time, serving to couple the conductors of adjacent members. Fig. 14 shows an assembled stand comprising a glass top 30b, and two uprights 30a connected by clips 40 which also couple the conductors 32. The uprights 30a are supported by sockets 57 on bases 50 which comprise a double compartment, Fig. 9, housing an electrode element 55 which can be directly or capacitatively connected to an electrode mounted in a showcase &c. The electrode 55 is connected to the conductors 32 of the uprights 30a by spring contacts 59, 60. The compartments of the base may house an oscillatory circuit. The conductors 32 may be strips laid in grooves &c. or may be provided by painting with colloidal graphite or by silvering the edges.
