521,955. Pneumatic tyres. DUNLOP RUBBER CO., Ltd., and HILL, J. W. M. Nov. 29, 1938, No. 34693. Addition to 438,738. [Class 144 (i)] The tyre - making machine of the parent Specification is now provided with rollers arranged to prevent the bead wires being pulled out of plane adjacent the fabric-winding zone. As shown, a pair of flanged rollers m, n is mounted on spindles o, p in brackets q, r bolted to the face-plate j which carries the gear h for operating the fabric-supply spool e. Means (not shown) may be provided for displacing the rollers, automatically or otherwise, to facilitate assembly of the wires c, d on the drums a, b and the passage of the leading edge of the built-up casing.
