A sheet or card tray comprises a base 1, Fig. 4, with sides 2 having out-turned margins 12 to form a cavity 13 receiving the ends of a shaft 20 mounted on the follower 17. and manually operated through a limited angle, the shaft ends being held in adjusted position by means of a plurality of recesses. As shown the ends 22 of the shaft 20 are rotated to engage a bar,14 mounted in the cavity 13 so as to force the shaft into one of the recesses 16 formed at the top of a slot 15 in the side 2. The base carries inverted channels 9 which may be serrated on top to receive the sheets, and the channels form a trough for a rod 5 having a screwed end 7 threaded into a front member 6 and having a slotted head 8. In a modification, Fig. 5, the front bearer 23 is pivoted to a riser 24 and its shaft 25 carries at its ends plates 26 housed within the cavity 13 and recessed to engage a pin 28. The rear follower comprises a spring- pressed jaw 36 engaging the serrated channels and pivoted to a member 34 which is retained within the central trough, the member 34 and jaw 36 having handles 33, 37 for releasing the grip on the base. The end of the tray may have a cross-bar 39.
