Abstract

521,159. Card games. KRASS, N. Nov. 9, 1938, No. 32566. [Class 132 (ii)] A pack of cards for playing a card game in which forecasts may be made based upon the principles of the points pool system of forecasting the results of football matches consists of one or more suits each comprising cards marked with all the possible permutations of the three signs, 1, 2 and X, representing home win, away win and draw. Two such cards are shown in Figs. 8 and 9. The scoring values are also marked on the cards and further markings may be provided to distinguish the top from the bottom of the card. Each player is provided with a sheet, Fig. 28, whereon his forecasts may be entered. In playing a game, one player acts as banker, and four cards are dealt to each of the other players the remainder of the cards being drawn from as play proceeds. The players, by drawing and discarding cards endeavour to obtain cards corresponding to the results they have entered on their sheets.
