Abstract
520,572. Brazing. SODAP SOC. DE DIFFUSION DES ARTICLES PEUGEOT SOC. ANON. June 5, 1939, No. 16445. Convention date, Aug. 29, 1938. [Class 83 (iv)] In a brazing-process in which the brazing material is placed between the parts to be joined and the whole is heated by plunging into a bath of fused flux at brazing temperature, the assembly after removal from the bath and while still at red heat is cooled suddenly by plunging into a cooling liquid such as water so that the flux cracks and is removed in pieces. The flux may consist of calomine or borax. The surfaces may be polished by emery paper. Specification 426,365, is referred to.
