519,144. Window guards. GOUDIE, J. C., and GOUDIE, T. B. (trading as GOUDIE & CO., J.). Sept. 30, 1938, No. 28432. [Class 20 (iii)] A grating or bar for protecting windows comprises a rod 5 rotatably mounted in a tubular sleeve 1 fixed to the top and bottom frame members 8. As shown, the rod 5 is formed with pivot-ends 6 to engage plugs 4 secured in the tube 5. as by rivets 3. In use, the rotary mounting of the rod 5 prevents its severance by an externally applied saw or like cutting-tool.
