517,752. Sharpening rock drills. COOK, C. E. Aug. 18, 1938, No. 24307. Convention date, Sept. 3, 1937. [Class 83 (iv)] Forging-dies.-Detachable drill bits are reconditioned in a two-part die 1, 3 with the aid of a dolly 9. The part 1 of the die is mounted on the reciprocable ram 4 of the usual drill sharpener employed in mines, and the other part 3 on the lower die block-2 of the sharpener. Recesses 7, 8, forming together a dovetail recess, may be provided in the dies for housing a dovetail projection on the drill. Specification 505,879 is referred to.
