Abstract
515,391. Making gilled tubes. MAIN WATER HEATERS, Ltd., (formerly OMNIA MANUFACTURING CO., Ltd.), and CHAPMAN, F. W. June 1, 1938, No. 16438. [Classes 83 (ii) and 83 (iv)] Soldering.-In a method of making a gilled tube, gills 10 formed with flanges 11 are arranged in spaced relation along the tube, a stick of solder 15 is placed through a series of aligned holes 14 in the fins, or alternatively rings of solder are placed between the fins and the assemblage is then heated to melt the solder which is drawn by capillary attraction between the flanges 11 and the tube.
