[Class 70] A cork-like substance is obtained from potato skins by freeing them from starch and cellulose either by a fermentation process or by boiling with sulphuric or other acid under pressure. The thin films which remain are washed, dried and mixed with blown linseed oil, natural or synthetic resins or latex and compressed or rolled into sheets.
