Abstract

514,623. Hoppers. HARRISON, J. March 29, 1938, No. 9615. [Class 78 (i)] [Also in Group XIII] Apparatus for charging grass and like fibrous material on to a conveyer or platform is apertured at top and. bottom and has two pairs of opposite sides, one side f of one pair being immovable and the opposite side e being laterally adjustable on arms m movable in slots in a wall n whereby a mat of grass of regulated thickness is fed from the bottom c on to the conveyer. The top may have flanges k, or the side e. may be bent over at the top above the wall f to form a cover and a guide for grass entering from a conveyer. The lower ends 'of the device may be curved in the direction of travel of the conveyer. Specification 501,730, [Group XIII], is referred to.
