[Class 103 (ii)] [Also in Group X] In order to reduce dazzle from the head lamps of following vehicles, the rear window panel of a vehicle is covered with, or constructed as, a polarization filter. A polarizing filter consisting of dichroitic crystals embedded in transparent material may be caused to adhere to one side of the window panel, or the panel may consist of dichroitic crystals embedded in transparent material arranged between two glass plates. Preferably, the plane of polarization is at 45 degrees to the horizontal.
