Abstract
509,414. Adjusting wireless apparatus. TELEFUNKEN GES. FUR DRAHTLOSE TELEGHAPHIE. Jan. 13, 1938, No. 1182. Convention date, Jan. 13, 1937. [Class 37] The tuning indicator Z is driven over a scale L through a cord drive H by a flexible shaft W, as shown, or a rigid shaft having a flexible coupling, the shaft W being driven through a further cord drive N from the tuning condenser shaft A. The pulleys S, S\ S<SP>2</SP> are so dimensioned that the scale L extends substantially the whole width of the cabinet, the indicator Z and scale L, Fig. 2. may pivot about a spindle substantially coaxial the straight length of the cord H carrying the indicator, so that the indicator and scale may be turned down into the cabinet and covered by a pivotal lid K which may be linked with the scale, in known manner, so that lid and scale are raised or lowered together. In a modification, Fig. 4 (not shown), the scale is rigidly secured to the free edge of the lid, and the indicator moves along the straight length of the cord H arranged coaxially with the lid pivot and extends through a slot in the scale.
