[Class 81 (i)] [Also in Group VIII] A liquid composition for destroying insects and for application to fabrics, furs, books, wood as a preservative, comprises naphthalene and paradichlorbenzene dissolved in white spirit as a common solvent. A perfume, e.g. oil of lavender, may be added. A solvent of somewhat greater volatility than white spirit, which has a B.P. of 195‹ C., may be used when treating delicate fabrics. Pads or sachets may be impregnated with the composition.
