Abstract

509,011. Cooking-apparatus. ELLARD, H. Jan. 6, 1938, No. 406. [Class 28 (i)] [Also in Group XVII] A utensil for grilling, frying, poaching, or toasting comprises a non-perforated, corrugated food-supporting surface 1 surrounded by a top wall 2 which is bent over and downwards to conserve heat from a heater over which the utensil is placed, the surface member 1 being adjustable as regards height on a base frame 8. The troughs of the corrugations lead gravy or other liquids to collecting cavities 3. A handle 4 is secured at one end and houses a screw 9, a nut 10 on the screw being connected by a link 12 to the base 8. A number of parallel links 5 pivotally connect the member 1 with the base so that rotation of the screw 9 adjusts the height of the member 1.
