508,062. Metal acetylides. JOHNSON, G. W. (I. G. Farbenindustrie Akt.-Ges.) Dec. 20, 1937, Nos. 35277 /37 and 2538/38. [Class 1 (ii)] [Also in Group IV] Copper acetylide is prepared from a solution of crystallized copper sulphate in water containing ammonia and hydroxylamine hydrochloride by leading in acetylene. Silver acetylide is prepared in the same way from silver nitrate.
