507,085. Non-return valves. BERESFORD & SON, Ltd., J., and SMITH, S. A. Jan. 17, 1938, No. 1465. [Class 135] A non-return valve for use as a suction or delivery valve on a pump is made from rubber or like flexible material and has in combination a head a provided with a flat undersurface for cooperating with a flat seating surface, a stem b adapted to pass through the seat aperture and two or more resilient lateral projections c on the lower end of the stem for engaging behind the seat member and serving to hold the closure member in position. According to the Provisional Specification the undersurface of the head may be conical or spherical in form.
