Abstract
507,037. Luminescent screens. SIEMENS-REINIGER-WERKE AKT.-GES. Oct. 11, 1938, No. 29448. Convention date, Dec. 4, 1937. Addition to 426,789. Drawings to Specification. [Class 39 (i)] The luminescent screen described in the parent Specification which is provided with a filter passing some of the fluorescent light and absorbing light deleterious to the luminescent coating is modified by the use of a filter, passing all visible light and absorbing part at least of the ultraviolet light especially the long-wave ultraviolet. A suitable filter comprises a thin layer of cellulose acetate con - taining #-umbelliferone-acetate. The filter dye may also be incorporated in the binding material of the luminescent layer.
