[A Specification was 'laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Oct. 31, 1938.] [Class 86] In mixing-apparatus in which liquid is circulated in a vessel by a central stirrer and baffles are provided which ride on the surface and the ends of which engage guides on the vessel walls, the baffles 8, Fig. 3, are mounted on radial arms 7 of a stiffening frame surrounding the stirrer shaft 2, Fig. 4, and fitted with bracing members 9.
