[Class 19] In a rubber set brush rivets 6 are driven through the setting after vulcanization, the setting being softened as by heat and the pointed ends are riveted over similar to the head 7. It is preferable to use a long rivet and cut off the point prior to riveting. In a modification, headless rivets are used which are afterwards riveted over at both ends.
