Abstract

504,465. Sliding - clasp fasteners. LIGHTNING FASTENERS, Ltd. (Banning, F. D.) Oct. 25, 1937, No. 29150. [Class 44] The fastener members of a slidirig-clasp fastener are secured to the tapes by loops of thread which embrace the members but without piercing them. The fastener members may be of non-metallic material and of generally cylindrical form with a projection 5 at one end and a recess 4 at the other, the body portion having circumferential ribs 6, 7 between which are looping threads 9, formed either by sewing or in the weaving, to secure the member to the tape 1. The members may be grooved to fit on the tape and temporarily fixed in position by adhesive.
