Abstract
504,152. Stereoscopic kinematography. CHRONOSTEREOSCOPIE. March 16, 1938, No. 8109. Convention date, March 23, 1937. [Class 97 (i)] The members of stereoscopic pairs of images are successively projected in entirety on to a projection screen; and are viewed through a grid or the like moved so that its apertures gradually expose the whole of each image, and so that the successive positions occupied by the opaque portions of the grid during the projection of one image are occupied by an adjacent aperture during the projection of the next image; a camera for taking the images is described. Fig. 1 shows a camera comprising lenses 2, 3, mirrors 4, 5, and a perforated reciprocating or oscillating shutter 8, producing images in sequence on a film 7. The images may, alternatively, be taken in two ranks on one film, or on separate films. The images. are successively projected either from the rear or above or below the grid on to a screen 14, Fig. 3, and are viewed through a grid 15, laterally reciprocated by suitable means, or through a rotating disc &c.
