[Class 137] An attachment for the distribution or extraction of air in rooms or enclosures comprises a number of laths a which rise in step formation from the plane of the opening d of an air duct. The direction of the air current is varied by altering the relative position of one lath, and its adjacent lath in regard to the internal longitudinal edge of one and the external longitudinal edge of the other, an overlap causing the air current to deviate through as much as a right-angle. In Figs. 1 and 3, straight laths are fixed to end pieces b. In Fig. 6, the laths are curved throughout their length, Fig. 11 showing them of semicircular formation. The modification in Fig. 14 is applied along the wall of a room.
