Abstract

502,256. Moulds for concrete kerbstones &c. NICHOLAS, R. Sept. 18, 1937, No. 25382. [Class 87 (ii)] A metal mould for concrete kerbstones and other concrete blocks comprises an opentopped; open-ended body q carrying displaceable end-plates b clamped thereto by one or more springs h secured to the body and to the end-plates and bearing inwardly upon the end-plates. Supports such as a cross-bar e and side members are provided on the endplates for positioning and supporting the body a. The springs may be plate springs and riveted or welded to the body and ends; they are passed through a recess in the endplates and are bent to form loops i which can be used as handles. The end-plates may be provided with cross-bars m, Fig. 7, which are adapted to engage tapered lugs n on the underside of the body a so as to effect a tight fit between the end-plates and the body.
