Abstract
499,716. Brush holders for dynamoelectric machines. BOSCH GES., R. June 2, 1938, No. 16464. Convention date, June 11, 1937. [Class 35] In a small dynamo-electric machine having carbon brushes held in guide sleeves sealed by screw caps, the cap 2 is provided with a pivoted stirrup 1 whereby the cap can be turned, which stirrup is adapted to be swung about a rocking axis perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the cap into that plane of the rocking axis which is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis. The stirrup accordingly can lie in the recess provided for the cap to present a flush arrangement with respect to the casing of the machine.
