Abstract
499,629. Kinematograph apparatus. PATHE CINEMA, ANCIENS ETABLISSEMENTS PATHE FRERES, (in Liquidation). April 13, 1938, No. 11320. Convention date, May 28, 1937. [Class 97 (i)] A movable gate member, mounted in such manner that it may be slidably withdrawn from the fixed member and swung laterally into open position, is carried by rods slidably guided in tubular sockets each pivotally mounted about a stationary axle substantially at right-angles to the rods. As shown in plan, the movable member 7 is carried by two vertically-spaced rods 12 slidable in sockets 13 each mounted on a diametrically-placed pin 16 in a forked bracket 15. The rods have notches 17, engaging the pins 16, and permitting the member 7 to be pressed towards the fixed gate member 2, when the gate is closed, by springs 14, or to be removed therefrom by a sliding movement. The member 2 is formed with a channel 6 having shoulders 5 which are engaged by the shoulders at the sides of a groove 8 in the member 7 ; the groove 8 may be omitted. Exposure apertures, and claw apertures 19, 20, are formed in the gate members, and an arm 11 permits manipulation of the member 7.
