499,344. Hand wheels. THERMOPLASTICS, Inc. Aug. 20, 1937, No. 22924. Convention date, Aug. 20, 1936. [Class 80 (iv)] The inner ends of wire spokes 12 of steering wheels pass into sockets 18 in a hollow cast-metal hub 14. With the wires in this position a groove 20 is made in the top 22 of the hub by a cutter which also notches the wires. A locking ring 28 is then inserted in the groove and notches ; it is held in place by burring over one of the edges of the groove.
