496,895. Sanitary closets. AMERICAN RADIATOR CO. June 8, 1937, No. 15857. Convention date, Aug. 21, 1936. [Class 26] In a closet-basin of the type which is flushed from a rim 13 through apertures 14 and having a jetplate 23 is provided with a member 25 in part overlying but spaced from the upper end of the plate whereby a vent is formed to permit the escape of air trapped in the jet-space by the downwardlydescending water. The member 25 may have one, as shown, or two prongs such as 26. The outlet-passages are arranged in the manner described in Specification 496,894.
