Abstract

493,059. Sanitary closets. GROENIGER, W. C. March 30, 1937, No. 9054. Convention date, April 30, 1936. [Class 26] A closet has a rim-channel 16 with a partition 31, Fig. 2, on opposite sides of which are situated two orifices whereby the rim communicates firstly with the feed orifice from the flushing tank 11 and secondly with an overflow channel 26, Fig. 1, provided within the tank. The arrangement is such that the flushing water passes in one direction only around the rim and the channel 26 serves as an air-vent and also to receive excess water from the rim which subsequently passes to the basin to restore the seal. The tank may be situated upon the back of and integral with the closet and jet passages 17, 21 are also provided.
