Abstract
496,098. Driving looms. BATCHELDER, N. A. May 17, 1938, No. 14696. Convention date, July 19, 1937. [Class 142 (i)] A rotary inertia element 20 is mounted on a loom shaft 6 in such a way that normally it rotates in unison with the shaft, but at starting and stopping of the loom it under runs and over runs the shaft. As shown, the element 20 is connected with the shaft by a spring-pressed dog clutch 25, 22 having rounded teeth.
