[Class 52 (i)] In a cabinet having a hinged closure connected to a sliding shelf of the like which is withdrawn as the closure is opened, the shelf 5 and closure 2 are so connected that in the opened position their edges parallel to the axis of the hinge 3 lie adjacent one another. The closure is preferably arranged to conceal the front of the sliding shelf and may carry side members 7 to enclose the space below the shelf, the edges of the side members being concealed below the links 4a connecting the closure and shelf.
