Abstract

495,290. Photographic cameras. LEITZ GES., E. April 6, 1938, No. 10505. Convention date, June 12, 1937. [Class 98 (i)] In cameras in which parallax compensation is obtained by tilting the view-finder, under the control of the focusing of the objective or telemeter, about an axis inclined to that of the objective, the bearing in which the finder tilts is used to support different interchangeable finders for use with camera objectives of different focal length. As shown, the finder 5 has spherical bearing points 6, 7 to engage sockets 8, 9 about which the finder tilts under the action of a lever 11. The finder is held in position by a spring 10 permitting ready removal thereof.
