Abstract

495,265. Recording apparatus. HUGHES & SON, Ltd., H., SPROULE, D. O., and HUGHES, A. J. May 14, 1937, No. 13657. [Class 106 (iv)] In electrochemical recording-apparatus of the type in which the marking member e con. tinuously rotates about an axis a, the said member is caused to follow a non-circular path as it passes over the record sheet c. The marking member e is carried on a sleeve f slidable on a rotary arm b and having a roller g engaging a fixed cam track h shaped to cause the marking member to move in a straight line over the record sheet. An inner cam portion only may be provided, the roller g being maintained in contact therewith by means of a spring connecting the sleeve f and arm b. Alternatively, a fixed outer cam portion may be arranged to extend around a part only of the path of the roller g.
