[Class 40 (iv)] An electromechanical recording apparatus for recording sound on the constant-velocity principle is provided with an armature having a high natural frequency, greater than 1000 cycles per sec., in order to obtain greater amplitudes at higher frequencies and the armature 8 is surrounded by one or more short-circuited damping windings 10, or the speech-coil 9 is wound on a former of metal, e.g. brass, iron, or copper in order that the desired inverse relation between frequency and amplitude may be obtained. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 includes an arrangement, Fig. 3 (Cancelled) (not shown), in which a resistance, capacity or both is/are connected across the terminals of the speech-coil. This subject-matter does not appear in 'the Specification as accepted.
