[Class 98 (i)] A conducting material for the preparation of luminescent screens on metal surfaces in cathode-ray devices comprises 100 parts by weight of luminescent substance intimately mixed with 3 parts by weight of finely divided carbon, preferably in the form of carbon black. The luminescent substance is willemite or other substance chemically inert to carbon. Specifications 443,602, [Group XL], and 451,717, [Group II], are referred to.
