Abstract

492,492. Revolving seats. JAQUES, R. Dec. 23, 1937, No. 35586. [Class 52 (ii)] A vehicle or other seat has a seat portion which swivels or rotates only relative to the back of the seat on an axis in the centre of the seat portion. The seat 1 may be mounted to rotate in a circular race 5 on ball 10 held in a cage, angle plates 11 preventing separation of the upper and lower races. Alternatively, the seat may be mounted to rotate by means of a pivot 13 and socket 14. The back 2 of the seat is fixed, and is preferably of bucket shape. The whole seat mav be mounted on runners 3 sliding on guides 4.
