[A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Jan. 28, 1938.] [Class 99 (i)] In a pipe joint according to the parent Specification the seal. ing ring has an in. ternal recess g form. ing two cutting edge, c<1>, c<2> which are harder than the pipe, the ring being deformed by the conical surface f so that the cutting edges bite into the pipe at the same time. The sealing ring is rounded where it contacts with the surface f.
